  3. Arrange vanilla wafers in a single layer to cover the bottom of a 9x13-inch dish. Layer sliced bananas over wafers, followed by a layer of fresh strawberries.
  4. Pour half of the pudding mixture over the fruit and wafers, spreading evenly with a spatula.
  5. Add another layer of vanilla wafers, followed by sliced bananas and strawberries. Pour the remaining pudding mixture over these layers.
  6. Spread the whipped topping evenly over the final pudding layer for a neat appearance.
