- Start by taking your cream cheese out of the refrigerator and allowing it to soften at room temperature for 20-30 minutes. Beat it until it’s creamy and free of lumps.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese with sweetened condensed milk. Beat until smooth, then add instant French vanilla pudding mix and milk, stirring until thickened.
- Arrange vanilla wafers in a single layer to cover the bottom of a 9x13-inch dish. Layer sliced bananas over wafers, followed by a layer of fresh strawberries.
- Pour half of the pudding mixture over the fruit and wafers, spreading evenly with a spatula.
- Add another layer of vanilla wafers, followed by sliced bananas and strawberries. Pour the remaining pudding mixture over these layers.
- Spread the whipped topping evenly over the final pudding layer for a neat appearance.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight for optimal texture.
