Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan, pour in 8 cups of filtered water and bring it to a boiling over high heat.
  2. Once the water is boiling, carefully add 4 cinnamon sticks, sliced fresh ginger, 1 tablespoon of anise seeds, and 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg. Stir well.
  3. Reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan, and let the tea simmer gently for 1 to 1.5 hours.
  4. Before serving, whisk in 2/3 cup of granulated sugar until it fully dissolves.
  5. Using a fine mesh sieve, strain the tea into a bowl or pitcher to remove all solid spices.
  6. In each cup, distribute chopped nuts. These will add flavor and texture to your tea.
  7. Pour the hot spiced tea over the prepared nuts and serve immediately.
