Step-by-Step Instructions for Brown Sugar Glazed Salmon
  1. Let the salmon sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes. Cut fish into four equally sized pieces and pat dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, lemon juice, grated ginger, Worcestershire sauce, chicken broth, and cornstarch until smooth.
  3. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add salmon pieces skin-side down and cook for about 5 minutes.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and flip salmon using a fish spatula. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until almost cooked through.
  5. Add the remaining tablespoon of butter to the skillet and pour the glaze around the salmon pieces. Cook for 20-30 seconds until bubbling and thickened.
  6. Flip the salmon again to coat in the glaze and serve immediately.
