Step‑By‑Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, toss the shrimp with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Let sit for 15 minutes.
  2. In a large skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add onion, bell pepper, and celery. Sauté for 5–7 minutes.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds. Then add tomato paste and cook for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Add smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, thyme, oregano, stock, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until thickened.
  5. In another skillet, heat olive oil. Sear marinated shrimp for 2–3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
  6. Transfer shrimp to the sauce and simmer for 1–2 minutes to meld flavors. Serve over rice or grits.
  7. Garnish with parsley and lemon wedges for a fresh touch.
