Ingredients
  

For the Filling
  • 8 oz Mascarpone Cheese Make sure it’s at room temperature.
  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream Chill before whipping.
  • 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar Sift to avoid lumps.
For the Flavor
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Orange Juice Freshly squeezed is recommended.
  • 1/4 cup Orange Liqueur Cointreau or Triple Sec works well.
For Assembly
  • 24 pieces Ladyfingers Available in the cookie aisle or online.
  • 2 cups Fresh Strawberries Hulled and sliced.
  • 1/2 cup Strawberry Preserve Optional but recommended.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine room temperature mascarpone cheese with sifted powdered sugar. Beat until smooth and creamy for 2-3 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, whip the chilled heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form, about 3-5 minutes. Fold into the mascarpone mixture until well blended.
  3. In a shallow dish, combine freshly squeezed orange juice and half of the orange liqueur. Allow to sit while preparing ladyfingers.
  4. Dip each ladyfinger into the orange juice mixture for about a second on each side, then arrange in a single layer in a serving dish.
  5. Spread half of the mascarpone filling over the ladyfingers, drizzle half of the strawberry preserve, and add half of the sliced strawberries.
  6. Repeat the layers with remaining ingredients, finishing with drizzled orange liqueur over the top layer.
  7. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  8. Before serving, dust with powdered sugar if desired.
