Step-by-Step Instructions
- Start by washing 4-5 ripe peaches under cool running water, removing any dirt or residue. Slice the peaches into wedges, discarding the pits, and set aside. Next, roll 2-3 fresh lemons on the counter to maximize juice extraction, then cut them in half and juice them, collecting the sour goodness in a small bowl.
- In a blender, combine the sliced peaches, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and ½ to ¾ cup of sugar, depending on your preference for sweetness. Blend the mixture on high for about 30-45 seconds, until you have a smooth and vibrant peach puree.
- Pour the blended peach puree through a fine mesh strainer set over a large pitcher. Use a spatula to press down on the pulp, extracting every bit of juice while discarding the skins and any leftover solids.
- Add about 4 cups of chilled filtered water into the pitcher with the strained peach mixture. Stir well to combine, tasting along the way to adjust the dilution to your liking.
- Pour the Refreshing Peach Lemonade into glasses filled with ice. For a lovely presentation, garnish each glass with a slice of lemon or sprigs of fresh mint.
