Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Brew a pot of strong coffee using your preferred method, then pour into a mixing bowl or pitcher.
  2. While the coffee is still hot, add sugar to taste and stir until it dissolves.
  3. Pour in the half-and-half and milk, stirring gently until combined.
  4. Add the vanilla extract to the mixture and stir well.
  5. Pour the mixture into freezable containers and freeze for at least 4 hours or until solid.
  6. Remove from the freezer and let sit at room temperature for 5–10 minutes before serving.
  7. Scoop into cups and top with whipped cream and optional cocoa or chocolate shavings.
