Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, minced garlic, fresh ginger, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
  2. Cut your sirloin or flank steak into bite-sized pieces and add them to the marinade, making sure they are completely coated.
  3. Allow the steak to marinate for at least 15 minutes at room temperature, or longer for more flavor.
  4. While the steak is marinating, heat a cast-iron or stainless-steel skillet over medium-high heat and add a splash of oil.
  5. Carefully add the marinated steak bites to the hot skillet in a single layer to sear them, cooking for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  6. Once cooked, transfer them to a serving platter and garnish with thinly sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
  7. Serve immediately while they are warm.
