  5. Fold in the soaked date mixture into the creamed butter and sugar.
  6. Whisk together flour and baking powder, then fold into the wet ingredients.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
  8. In a saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar, heavy cream, milk, corn syrup, and salt. Stir until smooth and simmer.
  9. Once the pudding is baked, let it cool briefly, slice, and drizzle warm toffee sauce on top before serving.
