  • 2 large Eggs flax eggs for vegan option
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract experiment with almond extract
  • 1 cup Fresh Strawberries chopped, thaw and drain if using frozen
  • 1 cup Shortcake Biscuits use homemade or store-bought
For Serving
  • 1 cup Whipped Cream for topping
  • 1 cup Vanilla Ice Cream optional for serving
  • 1 cup Additional Fresh Berries such as raspberries or blueberries

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8x8-inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Mix melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and vegetable oil in a separate bowl.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in chopped strawberries and crumbled shortcake biscuits.
  6. Pour the batter into the baking pan and top with additional strawberries and shortcake.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, then check for doneness with a toothpick.
