- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Squeeze excess moisture from the hash browns using a clean kitchen towel.
- Lightly oil a muffin tin and mold the hash browns into nests, pressing them firmly against the sides and bottom.
- Place the muffin tin in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Carefully crack an egg into each pre-baked hash brown basket without breaking the yolk.
- If desired, sprinkle cheese or diced vegetables on top of the egg.
- Return the muffin tin to the oven and bake for an additional 12-15 minutes, until egg whites are set.
- Let cool for a few minutes before gently removing from the muffin tin, then serve immediately.
