Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9-inch square baking pan with foil.
  2. Combine chocolate chips and butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals until melted.
  3. Whisk in granulated sugar, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  4. Sift in flour, baking powder, salt, and food coloring into the chocolate mixture and fold gently.
  5. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 44 to 48 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Cool brownies completely in the pan on a wire rack for about 30 minutes.
  8. Beat cream cheese and butter until fluffy, add powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt.
  9. Spread cream cheese frosting over cooled brownies and cut into 16 squares.
