- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, milk, egg, vanilla extract, and baking powder until the mixture is smooth and slightly thick.
- In a deep fryer or large pot, pour in enough vegetable or canola oil to deep fry, about 2–3 inches deep. Heat the oil to 350°F (175°C).
- Grab your marshmallows and dip each one into the batter using a fork or skewer, making sure they are completely covered.
- Carefully place the battered marshmallows into the hot oil one at a time, frying them in batches for about 1–2 minutes until golden brown.
- Once golden brown, remove them from the oil with a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to drain any excess oil.
