- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well blended.
- Gradually stir in the finely chopped sweet onions and milk until a thick batter forms.

- Using heaping tablespoons of batter, drop them into the hot oil, leaving space between each fritter. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
