  • 2 tbsp butter margarine works for dairy-free
  • 3 cloves garlic minced; garlic powder can be used
  • 1 cup chicken broth vegetable broth is a good substitute
  • ¾ cup heavy cream can use half-and-half for lighter option
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese Pecorino Romano is a good alternative
For the Topping
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese fresh mozzarella enhances creaminess
  • 2 tbsp parsley can use basil for variation

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Fill a large pot with water, add salt, and boil. Add bowtie pasta and cook 8-10 minutes until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season chicken with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through. Transfer to a plate.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter on low heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stir, and bring to a gentle simmer for 3-4 minutes until thickened.
  5. Reduce heat and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted. Return chicken to skillet and coat in sauce.
  6. Add drained bowtie pasta to skillet and toss to combine. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top, cover, and let sit on low heat for 2-3 minutes until melted.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving and enjoy your dish.
