Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of sugar and set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan, heat 2 cups of milk over medium heat until steaming, without boiling.
  3. Add 4 ounces of chopped dark chocolate to the heated milk and stir until melted and smooth.
  4. Whisk in the cornstarch-sugar blend into the saucepan, stirring for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
  6. Pour into mugs and enjoy, optionally topping with whipped cream or marshmallows.
